The M25 has closed this morning after a “horror crash” stopped all traffic in both directions.
Accident investigation work is underway after the crash is believed to have involved a car and a van. The incident has been described by police as a “serious road traffic collision.”

Hertfordshire Police told The Metro: “The M25 is currently closed between junctions 22 ( London Colney) and 21A (North Orbital Road/St Albans).
“This is while emergency services deal with a serious road traffic collision. Motorists are asked to avoid the area.”
