Helmut Marko has confirmed he will “continue” at Red Bull and won’t face a suspension after meeting with the team’s managing director Oliver Mintzlaff in Saudi Arabia.
While things have been going to plan on track for Red Bull this season, they’ve been plunged into crisis at every turn off of it.
The Christian Horner saga has continued to evolve over the past few weeks after he was cleared of any wrongdoing.
And it emerged on Friday that Marko was reportedly facing a suspension at Red Bull with a separate internal investigation.

That led to threatening comments from Max Verstappen, who strongly indicated he would look to leave if Marko was forced out of the door.
Red Bull GmbH chief Mintzlaff arrived in Saudi Arabia to fix the ongoing problems with the F1 team and was seen walking into the Jeddah circuit alongside Marko in a show of unit.
And the 80-year-old has now confirmed that he won’t be suspended by Red Bull with hopes of moving forward and seeing out his contract.
“It was a very good conversation,” he told Sky Germany.
“Of course there has to be calm back in the team.
“That’s a priority. We agreed on all points. I’ll continue here.
“The term of my contract is still three years away. But as I said, there has to be calm.”
Marko was also asked about the comments from Verstappen and praised the Dutchman for showing “loyalty”.
He added: “It was very impressive. I am very grateful to him for that.

“But he is one of the few who has strength of character and shows loyalty.”
Marko staying at Red Bull will come as a relief to Verstappen and Mintzlaff expects the three-time world champion to see out the remainder of his contract.
“Of course. He has a contract,” he said.
