Luke Littler was left red-faced and looking awkward moments after he was singing along with the crowd’s rendition of Mr Brightside as he prepared to face Nathan Aspinall.
There are fewer popular walk-on songs than Aspinall’s with The Killer’s famous Mr Brightside blaring out to get the crowd pumped up before all his matches.
The Nottingham crowd on the seventh Premier League night of the season were lapping it up as Aspinall’s song played over the speakers as he joined Littler on stage.
Even the 17-year-old – who wasn’t born when the song was released back in 2003 – was seen joining in the rendition.

Littler raised his arm and loudly sang along with the crowd with a beaming smile across his face.
He then turned his focus to the semi-final and looked ready to immediately start the match as he stepped up to the oche.
But his smile disappeared instantly when he was told to step back and reminded it was Aspinall who was going to be throwing first.
The players also needed to let the cheerleaders to walk off stage with a sheepish Littler seen returning to his table and taking a sip of water.
The music was soon off with the focus back on the dartboard with Aspinall looking to get his first win against Littler on the professional tour.
It was a strong start for Aspinall as he got the first 180 of the night before holding his leg.
Littler retaliated by taking out 80 on double 10 to keep the match level with both players starting with high averages.
Aspinall then stepped on the gas as he comfortably held throw before agonisingly missing a chance to break the 17-year-old in the fourth leg.

Littler nearly turned the game on its head as he came close to landing a Big Fish after landing two treble 20s, but Aspinall once again held and then took control of the match.
The next leg saw Aspinall break Littler’s throw to move him two away from making it into the final.
The 32-year-old held his nerve to open up a 5-2 lead, but both players were guilty of dropping the ball in the eighth leg with Aspinall missing multiple match darts and Littler even busted his score while attempting to hit a single one.
