There is a 3-alarm fire at a large 2.5-story brick and wood house at 5 Stafford Road in Lynnfield. The first reports came in at 8:25 p.m. Reports say that the heavy fire started in the attic, which spread to the garage and upper floors of the home. Witnesses saw multiple dozens of firefighters from other fire departments such as Wakefield, Stoneham, Middleton, Saugus, Reading, and North Reading joining the Lynnfield Fire Department in battling the fire, and reported that they could smell the smoke from Summer Street near Huckleberry Hill due to strong winds. Crews blocked off the street from both ends and ordered everyone out of the building. There are also reports that the owners of the home made it out. This is a developing story. The Daily Item will update the story as more information becomes available.
