‘Not seen this much danger since 1973’: Anthony Blinken in grim warning as Middle East tensions ramp up
Secretary of State Antony Blinken has issued a bleak warning about the state of the Middle East, saying it is in the most turmoil since the Yom Kippur War in 1973 when Egypt and Syria launched an attack on Israel/
“I think it’s very important to note that this is an incredibly volatile time in the Middle East”, he said.
“I would argue that we’ve not seen a situation as – as dangerous as the one we’re facing now across the region since at least 1973 and arguably even – even before that.”
