Patrick Mahomes has taken to social media after the Kansas City Chiefs beat the San Francisco 49ers to win the Super Bowl on Sunday night.
The Chiefs had gone into the game hoping to retain the trophy following their triumph 12 months ago.
And they managed to claim the prize for the second year in a row after a narrow 25-22 victory in Las Vegas.
Mahomes has now won the trophy for the third time, with the 28-year-old drawing comparisons with NFL icon Tom Brady as a result.

After the game, the quarterback celebrated with his wife Britanny and their two children, son Patrick ‘Bronze’ Lavon Mahomes III and daughter Sterling Skye.
And he then took to social media to dub salt into 49ers wounds by saying: “Never in doubt.”
Mahomes threw the game-winning touchdown that helped the Chiefs continue their stunning success.
His team-mates lavished praise on the American for his performance, with Travis Kelce among those to pay tribute.
Kelce was at the centre of things in front of pop star Taylor Swift, who jetted in from Tokyo to watch the action unfold.
The 34-year-old did spark controversy by screaming in the face of Chiefs coach Andy Reid.
But Kelce hailed Mahomes after the match in Las Vegas, saying: “I guess at this point, I take it for granted.
“But I know we’re in every single game I’ve ever played in with [Mahomes], no matter what the score is, no matter how much time is left, that guy’s got magic in his right arm, man, and he can just – he found ways to propel us, even with his legs as you saw today.”
Cornerback L’Jarius Sneed was also asked about Mahomes.
He said: “I believe in Pat, and in Pat we trust.
“And with coach [Andy] Reid, I knew they were going to go down and score the ball.”
Chiefs safety Justin Reid weighed in on Mahomes by saying: “There’s no facade there.
“[Mahomes] comes to work every day humble. He wants to get better every day.”
As for Mahomes himself, the 28-year-old opted to lavish praise on coach Reid – crediting him for the success of the team, as well as his own.
“Coach Reid has been the ultimate leader and I got brought in and I just trying to exemplify that, and he keeps pushing to be even better,” the MVP said.
