Tyson Fury has taken aim at Anthony Joshua for being little more than a “world heavyweight contender” and taking on too much risk in his fight against Francis Ngannou.
The MMA icon shocked the world with his professional boxing debut last year against Fury.
The exhibition fight nearly ended in a stunning result when Ngannou put Fury on the canvas before the latter won a controversial split decision.
Now Joshua will test himself against the Cameroon-born fighter in Saudi Arabia with the winner being rewarded with a title shot.

The British boxing superstar could have viably got another heavyweight title shot without facing off against Ngannou if he had gone down the mandatory challenger route.
Fury feels Joshua is taking too much risk in going up against Ngannou in Saudi Arabia and has mocked his British rival as little more than a “contender”.
“Turki (Turki Al-Sheikh, chair of General Authority for Entertainment in Saudi Arabia) said the winner of this fight will get a shot at the winner of mine and Usyk’s rematch,” Fury told Sky Sports.
“Me and Usyk have two fights lined up this year so the winner of that fight will get to fight the winner of this fight.
“There’s a lot on the line. When you’re a world heavyweight contender or whatever he (Joshua) is these days, there’s a lot of risk and not much reward other than money, which he has a lot of.”
Joshua lost his heavyweight belts to Usyk after being beaten twice by the Ukrainian.
He’s been on the comeback trail ever since and he enjoyed a strong 2023 where he won all three fights in commanding style.
Fury will get his own chance to take Usyk down and becoming the unified heavyweight champion of the world on May 18.

And he’s confident of getting the job done that Joshua couldn’t when he steps into the ring with Usyk.
“He’s (Joshua) been busted by Usyk a couple of times already, we all saw that,” Fury added.
“He just doesn’t have the guy’s number, leave him to me, the sad little man I’ll slay him, twice if he wants it, leave him to the GK (Gypsy King).

“Then the Battle of Britain we can get on if he gets past this big fella (Ngannou), which is not a formality because he’s a big man who can punch.
“Knockout chaos is definitely a great game.”
