Christian Horner made it clear he wouldn’t be commenting on the legitimacy of ‘leaked’ WhatsApp messages when quizzed prior to today’s Bahrain Grand Prix.
The 50-year-old was cleared of misconduct earlier this week after Red Bull conducted an independent investigation.

But Horner kept his cards close to his chest and insisted he wouldn’t be drawn on questions on the matter.
“I can’t comment on messages from an anonymous sender. I am not at liberty to comment on the hearing,” he said.
It comes less than 24 hours after Horner had said something similar, with the Briton branding the rumours as ‘anonymous speculation’.
“But to reiterate I have always denied the allegations,” he said on Friday.
“I respected the integrity of the independent investigation and fully cooperated with it every step of the way.
“It was a thorough and fair investigation conducted by an independent specialist barrister and it has concluded dismissing the complaint made.
“I remain fully focused on the start of the season.”
Horner and his wife, Geri Halliwell, have put on a united front in the Middle East today.
The couple arrived on the grid holding hands, with Geri beaming in a white dress despite being surrounded by photographers.
The Spice Girls star has reportedly been left ‘humiliated’ by the Horner saga and apparently had to be ‘talked into’ jetting out to join her husband in Bahrain.
Yet the pair were all smiles as they prepared for today’s racing action.
FIA president Mohammed Ben Sulayem reportedly held a crunch meeting with Horner on Friday prior to qualifying in Bahrain.
However, he refused to divulge what the pair discussed when quizzed before the race on Friday.
He did, though, admit the claims were ‘damaging for the sport’.
“It’s damaging the sport,” he told the Financial Times. “This is damaging on a human level.”

He added: “It is the beginning of the season. F1 is becoming so popular.
“We just need to enjoy the beginning of the season. Look at the competition.
“Why do we overshadow it with negativity?”
Meanwhile, an insider has told The Sun that Geri has ‘shut out’ other members of the Spice Girls while she navigates a testing time in her life.
A source has told the publication: “This is humiliation on an international scale for Geri, and it’s almost impossible to imagine what she’s going through right now.

“Christian has always privately asserted that the claims levelled against him were nonsense.
“She’s not the type of woman to go through someone’s phone, so to see these in black and white after all his protestations of innocence is utterly devastating.
“Geri has been bombarded with messages of support, and texts checking in on her, but she’s largely shutting everyone out, and simply trying to put one foot in front of the other.”
