Suspected London chemical attacker Abdul Ezedi allegedly pestered his friend for sex, before sexually assaulting her.
The 25-year-old was convicted of two sexual offences in Newcastle in 2018, prior to being granted asylum.
On one of those occasions, his victim was a woman he had previously befriended.
The woman who cannot be named told The Sun that Ezedi had pestered her for sex, before exposing himself to her without warning in 2017.
Abdul Ezedi is the subject of a national manhunt by policeMetropolitan PoliceHe then proceeded to also haul her trousers down.
Ezedi pleaded guilty in 2018 and got 45 weeks in jail, suspended for two years.
His victim said she was disgusted he was not locked up following his conviction and was angered to find out he was allowed to stay in Britain after having his asylum claim approved in his third attempt.
She said: “If he’d been jailed for attacking me then surely he would have been deported.
LATEST DEVELOPMENTS:
Abdul Ezedi is suspected of attacking a mother and her two children last week with an alkaline substance in Clapham, LondonMetropolitan Police“But the failings didn’t end there because someone from a church gave him a reference so he could gain asylum.
“Who in their right mind thought that a good idea when he was on the Sex Offender Register? The world is a mess.
“He’s a danger to women. That’s obvious to everyone.”
The woman revealed that she instantly recognised Ezedi when his picture appeared on TV following the attack in Clapham.
She added: “I’ve been following it every day in the hope of seeing him arrested — or dead. I feel awful saying it, but it’s true.”
The possibility that he has died is something the police haven’t ruled out and are still probing.
Commander Jon Savell said that Ezedi could have come to harm and laid out two theories.
He said: “I think it is realistic to understand that the fact no one has seen him recently and he has not been spotted by anyone either means he has come to harm and is yet to be found, or someone is looking after him and he has not been outside for some time. Those are the obvious two hypotheses.”
