A 20-year-old man has been jailed after threatening staff at a Tesco Express during a knife-point robbery.
Alfie Reedman, of Westergate Close in Ferring, threatened used the weapon to intimidate those in the store in Goring-by-Sea, West Sussex, into handing over cash.
Shortly before 8am on Saturday October 21, 2023, he entered the small shop on Goring Way and demanded money from the till.
He stole hundreds of pounds and left the store with workers in “distressed”.

The next day Reedman attempted to steal cash from two other stores in Salvington and Worthing.
The thug was unsuccessful in taking any more money and was arrested by police shortly afterwards.
In court in November, Reedman pleaded guilty to to robbery and two counts of attempted robbery.
He was remanded in custody before being sentenced in Lewes Crown Court last month.
The Briton was given 30 months in the Young Offenders Institution and handed a five-year restraining order to not enter the three stores he had targeted.
Detective Inspector Gary Jacobs said: “These incidents caused huge amounts of distress to shop workers and it is not something anyone should have to experience when going to work, and we will make sure we continue to firmly tackle business crime across the force.
“This result is brilliant and is totally deserved.
“It will bring peace of mind to those who work at the stores he targeted and hopefully his time in the Young Offenders Institution will help Reedman rehabilitate.”
The latest figures from the Office of National Statistics show there has been an increase in the amount of robberies in England in recent months.
Data release in October, indicates that for the year ending June 2023 police recorded an 11 per cent increase in robbery offences over a 12 month period.
There were 77,337 robbery offences compared with 69,432 offences in the year ending June 2022.
